It’s nearing my favorite time of year – crisp, cool autumn. I love the fall. I love the cooler temps, football, apple picking, donuts at the cider mill, dressing up on Halloween… the list goes on and on. I especially love the beautiful colors in the leaves and of course the options to photograph families in all of autumn’s splendor. I’ve had so many requests for my fall sessions that I have put together some dates and times for the coveted fall portraits. I’ve decided to do something different this year also: I will be doing an evening of GOLDEN HOUR sessions! I have started to move towards doing photo sessions mainly in the evenings. I have chosen to do this for a number of reasons 1) because evening sessions allow me to be able to spend more time with my family on the weekends 2) the light during what is fondly referred to in the photography world as the “golden hour,” or the hour before sunset, is so beautiful. It is soft, warm and offers many more opportunities for gorgeous and flattering photos! So, that being said, the Golden Hour Sessions are new this fall and I anticipate that they will fill up quickly! While I realize that later in the day is not when young children are always the happiest or that it is imperative to stick to bed time routine, I will still offer a morning and early afternoon for those beautiful clients.
