I love having the opportunity to go to the hospital to document the beautiful first moments of a baby’s life. There is nothing more sweet than telling the story of a baby’s birth. Matthew arrived October 22nd at 8:29 pm weighing albs 1oz and was 21 1/2″ long. He didn’t have quite the planned arrival that his parents were hoping for, but he made it here safely and is doing very well along with his mommy.
Already a smitten mommy. As well she should be!
Nothing beats newborn snuggles. Nothing. The way they lay on your chest and you can feel their little heartbeats and hear them breathing… and the smell! Oh how any mother knows about that newborn smell! It’s kind of like a crack I’ve decided. That’s why women flock to babies. Even if they are through carrying/birthing/raising babies, there isn’t many-a-moms that I know that would pass up the opportunity to snuggle – and, yes, sniff – a newborn.
So beautiful, being able to capture that instant bond between mother and baby.
You know I couldn’t pass up those precious baby feet and toes!!
