I’ve been doing a personal project this month to pull out my camera and photograph something personal from my everyday life. The challenge is to take one photo a day every day for the month of June. I’ve been good at taking my daily photos, but not always on top of posting them to Instagram daily. Anyway, I thought I would share some of my favorites from the challenge here with you all. This project has been a lot of fun. I think I may attempt to continue it for the month of July – maybe even for the entire summer! It’s good to break out of the norm and try to get creative! Plus, I force myself to document life in much more frequent intervals rather than waiting for a special event to bust the camera out for. I hope that these photos make you smile like they make me! (Of course, I am a little biased about the cute little munchkin.)
I took a real quick little series of photos of our daughter in the back yard one afternoon. She’s pretty goofy and doesn’t always give photographer mommy an easy time.
First garden harvest of the summer! Two little bright red strawberries. There may have not been a whole serving of fruit, but our daughter helped plant the plants, water them and then enjoyed the two little berries with breakfast. A good lesson for her to learn about growing food!
Captured this stunning image at breakfast one bright sunny morning. Love the light and shadows.
This is going to be our daughter’s BFF. I swear on it. No less than 3 times a day we hear about how she wants to “go see her friend.” …like NOW mom! haha They were jumping on the bed and I snapped a series of photos of them together. Most didn’t turn out, but I thought this one taken during a resting time from jumping was a sweet little image.
Anyone who has a toddler knows that they are rarely stationary. So, when I saw our daughter quietly coloring at her table on her cute little feet and toes, well, I just had to capture that!
I may have begged for this image. Not so much the face. That was kind of a bonus. Like I said, getting my own child to smile for me and the camera — it’s like pulling teeth. haha
I came home one night to this. Daddy and daughter making pizza for dinner. SO stink in’ sweet.
On Father’s Day we took the kids to the Kensington Park petting farm and there were 6 of these little sweeties there. Adorableness.
A walk with mom. She won’t always hold my hand, but sometimes I get lucky. ; )
And, of course, this little beauty. I’ve shared this a number of times on Facebook and Instagram. It’s such a wonderful little image. I was SO lucky to have caught this moment. Reading a book in the nice summer weather. In. Love.

Love these! The little piggies are adorable! And I love sharing your fav daily photos on your blog! I take daily photos as well (or at least I try to!) but I only post them on Facebook, never thought about putting my favorites into a blog post, great idea! 🙂
I love all of the little details.
What an adorable blog post! So much sweetness!!!
Ooh, the snuggling in bed and those piggies, sooooo cute!!!
